Opel-Blitz (Artz)

Corsa Conversions from Opel Blitz (Artz)

- Mini Blitz

In 1983 Günter Artz from Hannover presented the Mini-Blitz.

Opel-Blitz was founded by Günther Artz, who got famous by his special conversions like the Nordstadt-Beetle, Golf 928, Cordett, Mini-Blitz and others.

The Corsa Mini-Blitz was equipped with the 1.8Liter engine and the gearbox of the Kadett D GTE, using specially made driveshafts. The front ventilated brakes of the Kadett were also used for the conversions.

A few different wheels were available, among others the 5,5x14" Irmscher alloy wheels with 195/60HR14 Pirelli P7 tyres.

Furthermore a complete leather interior was also available for the Corsa.

- Corsa Caravan

In 1988 the Opel car dealership "OPEL Blitz" presented a Corsa Caravan.

The Caravan was based on the 4-door Corsa Saloon. In the case of delivery of a Corsa the conversion cost 5000€.

Unfortunately the dealership Artz does not exist anymore. In 1993, Opel resigned the contract with Günther Artz, officially because of unauthorized grey imports.

It is not known how many Corsas have been converted. As the Artz special conversions were mostly individual conversions, it is unsure if there was only one Corsa Caravan or maybe even 5 or 7.
