Emelba

Corsa Cabriolet by Emelba

In April 1984, the Spanish company Emelba presented a Cabriolet conversion of the Corsa.

Emelba did already conversions since the end of the 70s (Fiat Panda and Talbot Samba to convertible , Fiat 127 and Seat Ronda to a van, Seat Ronda and Seat Ibiza to a 7-seater) Furthermore they had a self-developed Van in the product range.

The Corsa Cabriolet had a folding roof, that was fastened to the side panels with pushbuttons

Furthermore Emelba developed a cover, to be installed instead of the folded roof and on 2 variants of a Hardtop (4 or 2-seater)

The patented and homologated Cabriolet conversion was offered in the following variants: Base 1,0 - Swing 1,0 - Luxus 1.2S - Berlina 1.2S - Berlina 1,3 - 1.3SR.

As there are however only photos of this conversion and as up to now no other another converted Corsa has been seen, it is possible that only this prototype was built and no small series.

Unfortunately the company Emelba does not exist anymore since the beginning of the 90s.
